Winona County Republicans

About Us

The Winona County Republicans are exactly that: Republicans in Winona County in Minnesota. We are commonly referred to as a BPOU or basic political operating unit. We are the grassroots of the GOP. As individuals we each have our own political opinions and thoughts, but we come together monthly to discuss and collaborate on different issues, events, and activities in our county, congressional district, state, and nation. Outside of our monthly business meetings, we can be found at our county fair booth in July and in various parades throughout the summer. We also hold different events throughout the year based on the election season and party needs.

As a group we organize caucus night which leads into a yearly convention of our delegates at the county level. At that convention we elect delegates and alternates to the congressional district level and state level conventions. All of these conventions allow for constitutional changes, hearing from local representatives, and endorsing new candidates. We also elect new boards as their terms come to pass.

If you want to know more about the Winona County Republicans or you want to get involved don’t hesitate to contact us at [email protected] or give us a call at 507-474-6579.

Stop on by at one of meetings. We meet on the morning third Saturday of each month at 7:30 am at Bonnie Rae’s Cafe in Rollingstone, MN.
